PEN New England North
PEN NE North began to encourage northern New England writers to get together to promote freedom to write and literacy as well as to share ideas about writing and publishing. To-date the group has organized several annual symposia, as well as special themed panel discussion groups.
The PEN New England North ad hoc board presently consists of chair Sally Brady, vice chair Ernest Herbert, and secretary and treasurer Barbara Raives, as well as executive members Margo Baldwin, Chris Bojalian, Upton Brady, Nicholas and Ruth Daniloff, Maxine Kumin, Howard Norman, Joseph Olshan, Grace Paley, Phil Pochoda, and Tom Powers.
