Discovery Evening is one of PEN New England's most important events in support of our mission to promote the work by writers in our region.  Each year, several established authors sponsor newcomers who are rising in the fields of fiction, poetry, and creative non-fiction, and the result is a celebration of their promise.  Many of our ‘Discoverees’ have gone on to distinguished publishing careers, and in subsequent years they have become ‘Discoverers’ themselves, showcasing new talent in the literary community.  To see a full list of past discoverers and discoverees, click here.
