Tribute to Seamus Heaney

Called by Robert Lowell "the most important Irish writer since Yeats," Seamus Heaney published more than twenty books of poetry, translations, and criticism in his lifetime, and earned widespread praise and accolades. In 1995, he was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature for his "works of lyrical beauty and ethical depth, which exalt everyday miracles and the living past."

Speakers include former poet laureates Robert Pinsky and Charles Simic, good friend Rose Styron, and Boston Globe columnist Kevin Cullen.
