Reach Out and Read
Going strong in its tenth year, PEN's Reach Out & Read Book Fair offers hundreds of new books to kids in inner-city Boston.
Each year, our generous sponsors donate refreshments and hundreds of paperback books and materials. PEN New England volunteers work with the children to select books they might like, as well introduce them to the joys of writing. Children can dictate their own stories to volunteer typists who then give the child a finished story of their own creation to take home with them.
